Joseph spent fourteen days quietly proving that he loves this country, this work, and the animals — not as a guide performing for tourists, but as someone who would be doing exactly this on his day off. We spent ninety minutes watching a leopard try and fail to hunt a pair of dik-diks; we sat in silence at a hippo pool while he explained the bachelor politics. He read us perfectly: when to push, when to stop, when to be quiet. Two weeks in, on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, Joseph apologized for the wind. I told him he'd given us the trip of our lives. He laughed and said good, that was the job. Book this company.

What we did
We now ship every booking a free pair of dust-proof packing cubes a month before departure, with a one-pager on what to pack inside. Cost us ~$8 per guest. Worth it.
Pre-trip comms

What we did
We built a single living "Trip Brief" PDF that updates as plans are confirmed. Sent at booking, re-sent 60 / 30 / 7 days out. Email has dropped 40% per trip.
Dietary handling
“Vegetarian for 11 days; by night 4 the kitchen ran out of ideas. Felt repetitive.”
What we did
We now confirm dietary requirements in writing with every camp 14 days out, and pre-share a 14-day rotating menu with the guest. We dropped one camp that wouldn't commit.
